Owen has substantial experience in Dispute Resolution. He regularly acts for Fortune 500 companies, renown family businesses and high net worth individuals in high profile and important dispute cases. He assisted international brands in franchise and licence disputes as well as intellectual property rights enforcement and litigations. He also advised high net worth individuals and families in cross border assets acquisition and succession planning. His experience in regulatory compliance includes food and drug regulations, data protection, privacy laws, trade promotion regulations, pyramid selling prohibition laws and SFC regulations. Advised and formulated litigation strategies for one of the world’s largest shirt manufacturers in cross border patent infringement action and appeal proceedings.
Represented a listed company subsidiary in defending a litigation concerning acquisition of a PRC company. The action involved Third Party Proceedings against the management of the PRC company.
Counsel to a leading international luxury brand in formulating strategy in cross-border civil litigations involving validity of the termination of distribution agreement and the ownership of trademark rights, and secured favourable settlement for the client.
